In the satirical movie OMG 2. Akshay Kumar astonished everyone with his lord Shiva Avtar. During the teaser release of the movie, his old video is getting viral in social media. Akshay Kumar’s old religious statement has been circulated few hours before the release of teaser of the film. OMG 2 is a sequel film of OMG which was released on 2012 in which Paresh Rawal challenged God and also filed a case against God and Akshay Kumar screen played the role of lord Krishna.
Now in the sequel Akshay has taken on the character of lord Shiva.
Akshay’s lord Shiva look has elicited varied reviews with some netizens doubtful of how the revered persona will turn out.
In recent months mythological films like Adipurush and Brahmastra were criticized of offending religious emotions and as a result there has been widespread fear of such films.
In the midst of all this Akshay’s previous video of a religious statement has reappeared on the internet, when Sooryavanshi release, Akshay Kumar stated during an interview that there is only one religion and that’s “being an Indian” and his film mirrored that attitude.
“I don’t follow any religion. I simply believe in being Indian and the film reflects this. We haven’t looked at it on the pillars of religion. We haven’t looked at it on the pillars of being a Parsi, a Hindu or a Muslim” Akshay stated PTI in an interview.
Furthermore, Akshay Kumar just stated that the teaser of OMG 2 will be unveiled on 11th July which is a whole month before the release date of the film. Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi both will appear in the film.
The premier of the sequel film is likely to coincide with the release of another highly anticipated sequel Gadar 2 staring Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel.
